Umpire Rules

1. Umpires are $120 per 7 inning regular season game(home team pays), $150 per 9 inning playoff game(split between teams), and for the championship it will be $115 from each team for 2 umpires and a 9 inning game.

 

2. Umpires are to be paid before the start of the game. If games start late, umpires may charge additional fees.

 

3. RAIN OUTS, CANCELLATIONS, FORFEITS: The Northwest Townball League agrees

 

a. that the call-in time to cancel or hold umpire(s) will be 2 hours prior to the scheduled game time.

 

b. that if the umpire(s) leave for the game subsequent to 2-hour limit and the game is not started; umpire(s) is to be paid a one-half game fee. The League understands that home team manager decides if the game will start.

 

c. Teams are liable to pay the umpire a full game fee if the game is forfeited by either team for any reason.

 

d. that if the game begins, but is not completed due to inclement weather, light failure, etc. the umpire shall be paid in full.

 

e. on rare occasions, if we finish a previously started game prior to a regular scheduled game, the fee will be $10.00 per inning per umpire. This is a tack-on fee. If the partial game results in 4-1/2 or 5 innings, a full game fee will be paid.

 

4. If you have a grievance, please notify the league immediately after the game. Greivance must be sent within 72 hours of when it occured or it will not be reviewed.
